Parent FAQs

Privacy & Confidentiality
Will BridgeCare share what my child talks about? BridgeCare keeps conversations private to help students feel safe and open up honestly. We only share information if there’s a serious safety concern, in which case we work with the school or families to ensure the right support is provided.
What can my child talk about? Students can open up about anything affecting their well-being such as feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed with school, unsure about friendships, or just needing someone to listen. No concern is too small, and our goal is to help them feel supported, balanced, and heard.
How is my child’s information kept private? All conversations are encrypted, monitored, and confidential. Students can access support anonymously, and no personal information is shared without consent, except in cases of immediate safety concerns.
How does BridgeCare work alongside school counselors? BridgeCare complements school counseling by offering immediate chat-based support and sharing anonymous wellness trends to help schools identify needs. It does not replace traditional counseling.
Purpose & Benefits
Why would my child use BridgeCare, and what kind of support is offered? BridgeCare gives students a safe space to talk to a professional coach about anything on their mind—stress from school, anxiety, friendships, or simply needing someone to listen. Our student-centered coaching helps them build confidence, navigate challenges, and reflect on their choices. No issue is too small, and support is always offered without pressure or judgment.
How can my child access BridgeCare services? Students can log in anytime using the BridgeCare app on devices that are personal or school-approved.
Can parents also use BridgeCare, or is it just for students? BridgeCare is designed specifically for students. However, parents are encouraged to learn about the platform and discuss it with their child. Parents can also reach out to their child’s school for additional support resources.
Can teachers or administrators recommend that a student use BridgeCare? Yes! Teachers and administrators can encourage students to use BridgeCare without pressure. They can also help spread awareness about its benefits.
Coaching
Is this the same as therapy? BridgeCare is not therapy. It is coaching that helps students improve mental wellness and life skills. It is a supportive space where students can talk through everyday challenges, build emotional strength, and feel heard. Our coaches focus on guidance and reflection while respecting the care and values students receive at home.
How are BridgeCare coaches chosen? At BridgeCare, we carefully select coaches not only for their qualifications but for their ability to connect with students in a genuine and caring way. Each coach completes specialized training in student well-being and is supervised by experienced student counselors on our team. This ensures every student receives thoughtful, high-quality support.
What if my child needs more than coaching? If a student needs deeper support, the BridgeCare coach will guide them to their school, parents, and local resources. Students safety and well-being always come first.
